Win spring-flowering bulbs from the International Flower Bulb Centre
by Rhiannon James
Ten lucky readers will each win a parcel of tulip bulbs
To celebrate their involvement in Floriade 2012, which opens next spring in the Netherlands, the International Flower Bulb Centre is offering ten lucky readers the chance to win a parcel of mixed tulip bulbs.
Held every ten years, the Floriade is a celebration of horticulture on a grand scale – there’ll be show gardens, interactive exhibits and a chance to see what gardens might look like in the future. The International Flower Bulb Centre will be taking part with a pavilion which tells the story behind the flower bulb, using film, music and games. For more information about the Floriade and the International Flower Bulb Centre’s exhibit, visit www.floriade.com/the-park/green-engine/flowerbulbpavilion.
For your chance to win a parcel of tulip bulbs, just answer the following question:
Tulip mania gripped the Netherlands in the seventeenth century, but which royal mistress sparked a craze for hyacinths in eighteenth-century France?
