A signed drawing by the Prime Minister, James Wong’s first gardening book and artwork by singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman are just a few of the lots to be auctioned online from tomorrow to raise money for the Eden Project.

The charity asked famous faces and organisations to share what inspires them, perhaps through a drawing, a favourite book or a memorable experience.

Sir Tim Smit, Chief Executive, Development, of the Eden Project, said: “Inspiring people to believe they can make a difference and giving them the tools to do so, is the key to all our futures. This is a principle that informs all our projects both here and across the country, which is why we’ve encouraged friends of Eden to share something that inspires them.”

Other items and experiences up for auction include lyrics from the musical Evita signed by Sir Tim Rice, artwork by Peter Randall-Page, creator of the Eden Project’s Seed sculpture and a day as a gardener in the Project’s biomes.

The money raised will fund a range of Eden projects, from engaging with socially excluded young people to helping community gardening groups.

The auction starts tomorrow at 8pm and runs until 8pm on Sunday 16th December, www.edenproject.com/auction
